Pyrethrum is a natural insecticide that does not contain harmful chemicals.
We recommend spraying your coop once a season to get rid of any little beetles or tiny spiders that may have built little nests or webs on the inside of the coop. Mind you, most of these bugs get devoured by the chickens however, for me, it gives me peace of mind knowing that when my toddlers go to collect eggs, they will not be harmed by a little nasty. The spray can also be used on the roost to kill any bugs living in or on the wood.
Note: The brand we use is Defender Pyrethrum Spray in a 750ml spray bottle.
